There’s something incredibly special about being able to work with a family over and over again to capture their amazing memories. When Sylvia reached out to let us know that you she was pregnant with her second little girl and wanted an indoor & outdoor maternity session, we were beyond thrilled.
Over three years ago, Sylvia and Rich came to us for their first maternity and newborn session. Since then, they have continued their photography journey with us by choosing us to capture their holiday and in between sessions with their daughter, Avery. We love knowing that Giella Barbara Photography has been there for all their milestones – and it means the world to us know that they love and trust us enough to keep coming back. That’s what being a part of the GBP family is all about!
As with all of our sessions, clients are able to consult with us to choose the perfect location and outfit. Since Sylvia wanted something similar to her first time around, an indoor & outdoor maternity session, we opted to use the garden center, located downstairs from our studio, as the backdrop for the outdoor portion.
Sylvia chose her own dress to bring – a stunning pink gown that fit her perfectly. It was a wonderful choice and we’re all about a fabulous dress that makes a mama feel even more beautiful! The start of this day was cloudy and gave off and on rain showers. But by the time the session started we were gifted with a heavy dose of beautiful sunshine. The sunlight cast such a pretty glow and it added such a warm touch to all the photos.
Avery is now at such a fun age. She clearly loves getting her photos taken. She was so good and very excited about becoming a big sister!
Inside the studio we shot a bit edgier and with a more dramatic flair. We suggested our black, crop top for a few black and white shots. This type of shot is so beautiful and shows off the pregnant belly in such an awesome way. Sylvia was meant for this shot! We were dying over these!
For more pictures of mom, dad and Avery together, she wore our soft pink, off the shoulder gown and photographed in front of the natural light of the windows. We captured a ton more of cute family pictures, as well as some beautiful mother, daughter shots!
We can’t wait to meet their new baby girl in just a few weeks and continue capturing even more precious memories for this beautiful family! As for this session, well, we have too many favorites.
Maternity sessions are best done between the 28-36 week mark of pregnancy. If you’re interested in photographing and capturing this special time, let’s chat.
