Introducing Calista and her oh, so fabulous hair! As Northern NJ newborn photographers, we have the pleasure of meeting and working with so many different babies and families.! Definitely a perk of the job.
Calista is another little one that was born during the last month and in the middle of the Covid Pandemic. Her session took place at the five week mark, which is typically a little later then the suggested two week mark. However, there is no written rule that babies cannot be photographed at close to or even after one month.
This baby girl can most definitely testify to that. Calista was an absolute dream! She slept soundly for the whole session and holy Hair! #HairGoals. It’s babies like this that make being a Northern NJ Newborn photographer so worth it. It’s hard to imagine doing anything else!
Mom loved simple and classic and wanted minimal props. Her colors were soft corals and yellows, a bit different from the pinks and purples that often accompany baby girls. We loved using such different color tones and it photographed beautifully. As much as we love the traditional colors it’s always such a nice change to use different backdrops and textures.
New moms, we get it. You don’t always feel…well, like you. The idea of getting dressed for your family photos can seem like a daunting one and can leave you undecided about whether to even include yourselves in the photos. This is a memorable and a once in a lifetime moment. You’re a new mom with a new family and we encourage you to be in photos. These photos are yours. They don’t need to be uploaded to social media, they don’t need to be printed or put around the house. But to remember this moment is truly important. We urge you not to miss out.
Family pictures consisted of mom, dad and Big, fur brother! How cute! We always welcome family pets to be included in sessions. Mom chose a dressier style for herself – a long, beautiful lace dress which she rented from Rent The Runway. What a great idea!
We are so happy that we were able to meet sweet Calista and her family and thank mom and dad for entrusting us with their baby girl.
